Reblogging Julia

A critical analysis of the public ramblings of the creature formerly known as Ms. Baugher, who provides a manic amount of content to parse.

Every little thing she does is tragic.

Life is all about seating and lighting. -

Graydon Carter.

This could explain why I felt shitty about life after I finished reading this month’s Vanity Fair. The whole magazine screams “You are NOT ENOUGH.” Rich enough, royal enough, jet-set enough, famous enough, powerful enough.

Or maybe that’s just how it spoke to me at this exact moment. (Projection much? ha)

I usually like the mag, I just think … well…

Life shouldn’t be all about seating and lighting.

Maybe, just maybe, and I am but an internet armchair shrink here, but if you are deriving your self worth from Vanity Fair and assorted profiles, maybe you should work in a womens’ prison for a while. You might also want to ponder the sentiment about life being more about good lighting and poses, and makeup.  I seriously feel for your 40 year old self that will see this crap on google, after you’ve (hopefully) developed the perspective that has so far eluded you. Maybe, just maybe, self-fulfillment doesn’t come from serving as the spokewoman for a supermarket tabloid. Maybe you should dare to act on your own smarts and not be so concerned with landing a rich guy.  Get rich yourself and do something meaningful.
